Bilboards

Have you noticed there have been several human trafficking billboards around town lately?  Thanks to a joint effort of the Siouxland Coalition against Human Trafficking and the Woodbury County Attorney’s Office, four billboards have gone up in Woodbury County since the beginning of August.  In mid-November one billboard will be up on I-29 entering Sioux City.

Two billboards  had slogans and designs done by unique groups.  The slogan for one: “ Social Media – the Highway to Human Trafficking” was developed by human trafficking survivors who were staying at Lila Mae’s House. The second billboard was designed (slogan and layout) by the anti-trafficking group at Morningside University and says “ Human Beings Should Not Be For Sale – End Sex Trafficking”.

We want to thank the Woodbury County Attorney’s Office, the residents of Lila Mae’s House and the Morningside University students and their moderator for helping get the message out.  If you would like more information on Human Trafficking, contact us at scahtinc@gmail.com or check out our website: https://siouxlandagainsttrafficking.org
